do you know if you can simultaneously use a DTV1000S and DTV1000T? For multi processing? no simply answers anywhere lol and you seem to no your stuff rather well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You can and I do quite successfully, with Media Portal. Do a search for vur on this site & also Media portal and you'll find my postings as a newbie who eventually found satisfaction. It might save you the ton of effort I made. Good luck.

I believe you can, although I don't. I'm still having problems with one dtv1000-t card and one dv2000 (analogue card) PVR2 doesn't recognise. On the DTV front, I cannot record HD channels, but I can watch them. So I'm no expert.

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner about the installation of Mediaportal. To sum up I spent 2 hours trying to get the DTV card to be recognised by medaportal with absolutely no luck. So I gave up and went back to PVR2.

One interesting thing is that the "patch" that the medaportal team recommend running (I think it was called DVBFIX).
If I delete that directory, PVR2 will not pick up a TV signal. If I put the DVBFIX back and run the .bat file, PVR2 recognises the tv signal...... weird eh?

Sorry you are having the recognition problem. I have no worries with recognition but I did with tuning, solved by antenna direction tweaking. I can even recognise a third tuner (a Nebula USB). Head on over to the MPortal site. One of the multi-tuner fixes (there are two) is by an Ozzie. Try him and what you said may give him a clue to a solution.

Just tried new PVR2 v2.0.3.11 Beta.

Ok fine here on XP Pro with SP3

My pc just lists Leadtek Codec and HD channels are displayed fine.
Only problem found is that teletext nolonger works properly (not that I use it anyway)

After use a few problems have been found or introduced.

The teletext windows locks up on the index or detection page. Force taskmanager end task to close.
Subtitles (801) never worked properly in v2.0.3.x anyway.

Secondary audio stream not selectable. After pressing "S" to switch audio just goes blank.
It you do press "S" to get secondary auio, you get no audio anymore. It looks like Dolby AC3 streams no longer work/supported.

Used to be able to select between the mpg and ac3 streams. with the on screen display.
Have to close PVR2 and restart to get back to default stream 1, if you encounter a station without any audio.

Recording capture format. Only .TS is available. No .MPG capture option selectable.

Probably other problems with this version as well.

Rolled back to v2.0.3.7 to get all audio streams "s" audio switching to work, teletext to work and mpg recording option back. Though they haven't implemented subtitle -> tv overlay yet in any v2.0.3.x.

2.0.3.12b:
1. Supports Program Stream recording format
2. Audio channels are selectable in DTV mode
3. Item 1 and 2 are supported in Schedual recording
4. Support Silent Record (PS or TS)
5. Dividual file recording
6. Recording file size and recording time are assignable

Thanks for the info... might give it a go... I wonder, since they have fixed 10 problems, if a little thing like the channel logos not being correct would be fixed. I've only been waiting 2 years for the logos to properly work. Every update that Leadtek does I email william and let him know.... Sheesh, poor dude must be like Geoff from the wiggles.... WAKE UP WILLIAM!!!!

I was read the channel names from Frequency.txt(e.g.:#Program2="m1 HD") after added two rows to Service.ini(m1 HD=hu2_1, m2 HD=hu2_2) and put two 100x60@256 image to services folder. Filenames: hu2_1.bmp and hu2_2.bmp

Using Winfast PVR2

v2.0.2.42 or earlier works with subtitles.
v2.0.3.01 up to v2.0.3.07 partially work with subtitles. The reason is teletext opens in new window on top of current tv program. Press subtitles button up top right of teletext window or type 801 will load subtitles in current teletext window. Problem is the minimise/overlay subtitles into current tv program button up the top righ corner of teletext window has been dissabled. So subtitles will only be available in seperate window.

Fixed: Teletext no longer crashing winfast pvr2
Problem: Can not enter or change teletext pages. Whenever you enter a page number each number is displayed three times eg 1 gives 111 or 8 gives 888 etc so it will never accept correct page numbers anymore.
Problem: Subtitles still not working.

Audio
Fixed: Multiple audio streams now selectable with "S" Key.
Problem: No audio as default is mpeg on HD channels. When Dolby is only available audio track. But press "S" to get secondary dolby audio track

Recording
Fixed: MPEG and TS recording now available.
Note: Make sure when scheduling recording of HD channels, select AC3. as language 1 is blank.
6 has always been there.

Does anyone else have no logos for either ABC1 and SBS?

All station logos are fine for me. The only one thats been incorrect for years is the "Nine Digital" logo. Its a green cirle that looks like a frog and says "tvmobile" across the middle

Subtitle will never work because WinPVR2 use DVB Subtile that will not work in Australia. Need support for VBI Subtitle for Australia to work subtitle duh !

Although there teletext 801 work but why oh why seperated window it hard to read in 2 windows.

Don't get v2.0.3.11 (too many problems and bugs) go for 2.03.3.12b fixes all problems that were found in prevoius version and is fine to download and use.

You could try MediaPortal, an open source application. I haven't had any luck with it, but plenty of ppl on this thread has used it.
