Hi There guys I would like to know if I can purchase Screen Innovations Black Diamond Zero Edge G2 here in Australia? If not can it be imported or is there something similar here in australia? I have a pretty lit room and a white matt screen just wouldnt work. Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

make sure check out in person, as no free lunches with this stuff I dont think. the last two screens of these types I've seen store I wasnt totally convinced as could see side effects.

depending on the level of ambient light in your room you can actually achieve pretty acceptable viewing if just for sport tv etc eg like below, this is with epson 9000 on a screentechnics 1.1 gain screen with ambient light in the room, white walls furnishings etc as can see pretty darn decent result :)

so wouldnt persnally discount even just a regular screen which can then enjoy for non critical duties with ambient light and then switch lights out to enjoy to the max :D

Good advice there. Don't assume you'll need one straight up. Plan in out - get the projector first and see how it looks on your wall before spending 6 grand on a screen of that type.

Can you darken any part of the room to help?

its hard because im a limited to what I can do as our lounge is shared with our kitchen or open planed living room. Windows have blinds but there is still quite a bit of light that comes through. Not like our previous dedicated room. We really miss our big screen but the lit room is what im worried about.

The Epson 9000 looks like a good choice as far as brightness goes. Not sure if the x35 would cut it tho. My previous was an x3 and the brighness was terrible with ambient light.

I really need to see a grey screen in a lit room to see how it looks. Is there anywhere in Melbourne that has one setup.

cheers

Thats a nice bright image. Colour really pops. What is it like during the daytime Al, im considering the epson 9000. We watch a fair bit during the day.

If daytime viewing is important buy a big TV, no front projection setup will come close under ambient light.

A good and likely better alternative to the Black Diamond screen is the DNP Supernova, but for the prices asked for these screens in OZ you could likely by an 80" TV for daytime use.
