Man this site is addictive!! :hyper:

Now that the home theatre is on its way, it's 4.9 metres X 4.3 wide with 9 ft ceilings.... and i'm sourcing a projector (most likely Epson 9100W) and screen (which will be fixed).

My next question if you can spare the time is do any of you have suggestions for an entertainment unit that will suit the Neuphonix epicentrix and tektonix sub with say a 110" screen.

I'm not happy with the entertainment unit pictured below which barely fits the Aventage 3010...and as my place is a rental until the build is done the screen isnt wall mounted. If any of you have pictures of your set ups I'd appreciate seeing them as I need some inspiration
'

Thanks

p.s This is what the front end looks like... rear end has equinox / atmospherix to be installed ...a lonely space is there awaiting the arrival of an elektra theatron

Hey mate - I have a very similar setup and had my TV on top of the Epicentrix like yourself. There aren't many entertainment units which would house the Epicentrix, but hopefully someone here has some ideas. You could also try a custom unit build, although that could get a bit more expensive. If you let us know your location someone local may be able to help.

Also, are you saying you want to put the Textonix in the entertainment unit as well? I haven't done this myself, but wouldn't it shake the daylights out of whatever else is in there, not to mention may not be the best placement for the sub in that room (also may sound boomy in confined space). I don't know if any members here have put their sub in an ent unit, maybe they can give feedback, but I would have thought putting it out in the room (if placement suits) would be much better.

Hmmm, reading back over it I'm not sure if you mean 'suit' as in house the equipment, or just look good next to it!

I made my own...  I can't find any decent pics of it to show you.  My speakers are American Cherry veneer.  My unit is 2400mm long, has American Cherry for the top and base and are 32mm thick.  The doors and drawers are all matt black in 2k urethane.  Handles and legs are all brushed aluminium.  The doors open up and slide back into the cabinet.  The base is slotted to allow convection cooling, and there's no back on it.  It matches the speakers superbly...

Cheers,

Chris

Still haven't finished my current one!  :logik:
Then there's 2 masking systems plus finishing off another one with modified parts...  Then there's the next lot of systems to do....  Then I have to do stuff around the house... and finish the cinema foyer....  Wanna help?

Chris

Thanks all for your input

What I am hoping for is something to house the gear in it with the epicentrix on top and the neuphonix either side and it doesn't need to house the tektonix. If I was going for a front unit underneath the screen. id like something with frosted glass doors, low line..

Chipp55 has a great unit available for those looking.

I'm also considering a stand for the epicentrix under the screen with an av cabinet to the back corner of the room to keep it hidden away

Clef hifi have a great photo which I hope might be achievable....

Ha, I know mate, I shouldn't even joke. There will always be a never-ending list! Interested to see this cabinet you made if you get a chance to post it at some stage.

Nice pic but you'd have to own a really low couch for that to work well.
