not quite correct, Foxtel's (formerly Austar) HD viewers do, as Foxtel's (formerly Austar's) HDs are still in the 200 range. :)

All seem to be showing the same previews and interviews at the moment (Liesel Jones on now). PQ looks very good though it's just local stuff ATM. :phone:

Yeah, really sucks for you Foxtel lite customers that pay for the sports package but don't get the "free" Olympics channels because all 8 SD and all 8 HD channels have been put on two temporary vertical transponders. The satellite is faulty and two horizontal transponders can't be used.

The HD Olumpics channels do have Dolby Digltal streams (which is an improvement on the MPEG only audio for the HD channels during the previous winter olympics and comm games). But the SD channels have the usual MPEG audio only.

The HDMI port on the IQHD box is capable of sending 5.1 audio right?

I ask because my previous HDPVR could only send 5.1 via its optical port, & I'm wondering if I'm not getting 5.1 on the IQHD due to this restriction?

It does, just make sure the HDMI output is set to AC3 in setup.

I'll need to check that. Thanks, Peter.
