In Wide Bay the SBS is the only UHF channel and your antenna needs to be horizontal. All other channels are VHF and need the antenna vertical.
Rotate the antenna so the longest section is at right angles to the horizon.
I suggest you use the "Get the best reception" post in each Geographic forum as you move around.

Those Winegard caravan antennas dont go Vertical alanh. WInegard are an American company (US is Horizontal only), Im yet to see one with Vertical capability. If Jennifer plans on travelling alot her best option is to get a VAST Caravan Kit, and use a travellers authorisation.
