My neighbour just installed foxtel iq recently and needed help connecting the sound of the fox iq to his receiver....
His receiver only have 1 spare optical input (receiver has coaxial input but its been used by other devices).....
The foxtel iq has both coaxial and optical out and when I tested the coaxial connection sound comes through ok on the coaxial but there is no 'red laser light' at the optical out on the fox iq box so no sound comes through the receiver....
- I check the set up of fox iq and there is no menu to turn on/off optical out.
- nothing wrong with the cable...tested on my iq2 and it works.
- called foxtel and they said optical out is not a feature they support....( what the!?!? )
The neighbour has 2 fox iq boxes and both of them have no signal coming out of the digital optical out....
Anyone care to comment on whether they have digital OPTICAL (not coaxial) working on their foxtel iq1 ?
Thanks.
Does Foxtel Iq1 Have Optical Sound Output?
