Agree ; source direct is hard to give up after an oppo .

A duo max would be nice but theres tradeoffs as usual .No 3d duo max has been announced yet so its the old current one with no 3d frame packed playback and no source direct .Or wait for the max 3d and see if it does full 3d iso's over dnla [good trick ] rather than 3d lite due to the cinavia crap like the 3d base ..
If you like full 2d iso's and don't care for 3d its a lot easier

Would have preferred a new replacement H1 but looks like they won't have any for a while.........I'm still suss on this one being b stock to begin with, came in an unsealed box. I think if it comes back and is less than acceptable ill be requesting a refund and going elsewhere.
On another note they are an Internet only company, so even though they are just 20min drive from me they wouldn't allow me to drop the H1 off and either wait for the repair or pick it up after it was repaired. If they allowed me to do that it would have been dealt by now, but as it stands they won't get it till Friday so I won't get it back till at minimum next week. A bit of a pita these Internet direct companies running out of their back yard with no retail presence at all, if it were JB HiFi I'd have walked in store the day I found the problem and it would have been sorted.
As it stands its taken a week just to get a reply and have return postage organized, and auspost don't accept packages for "Australian Air Express" anymore so I couldn't drop it off. I had to google the company, ring and organize for the package to be picked up "sometime tomorrow between 9 and 5".......gee it's lucky ill be home tomorrow eh..........and all this F'ing around because they're an "Internet Direct company" and weren't happy for me to drive 20min and drop it of directly.
End rant
Cheers

What if you had driven it to their mailing address?
If a post office box you might have been able to get aus post to recieve and deliver it to their PO Box for you.

Btw, the return address is a residential home based on google maps. So this "Internet Direct" company is literally being run out of a back yard

So convoluted it seemed to be a delaying process in the hopes I would fail to comply with their silly systems.

I did this with HD City after he refused to answer my emails about returning a Xtreamer Prodigy that was absolute crap. He operates out of his lounge room. I just handed him the box and stood there while he reversed the paypal transaction. Checked it on my phone and left.
Buyer beware.

H1 arrived today, plugged it in and it's playing everything perfectly
Have to say, other than my gripe with "Internet only", I can't complain about the service. They gave me a replacement option based on what stock they had or the option to have it repaired. They payed for return shipping, turnaround was timely and communication was adequate.
