Gee shame most of this thread doesn't actually fit in the title of it.. before i get flamed I'd just like to point out how easily preparation H can hijack a thread.
Since when was norfolk island or for that matter anywhere in WA metro area

Kind of frustrating.. maybe we need a standardised BS Detector response that everyone can use in repsonse so the poor op doesn't get stuck in the middle of a thread about nothing relative to LTUAE. just my 2 cents

Agreed (and yes, I'm as guilty as anyone else of participating in the derail).

On the other hand, the metro switchover dates are pretty much set in stone now, so there's not really any variation to discuss.

(For reference, it's worth noting the posts announcing the final metro cutover dates [e.g.] consisted mostly of incorrect guesswork [as discussed here and here], and so were self-derailing from the start.)
