My Oppo db-83 now does not open the drive by itself when pressing the eject button.
I have to pull it out using my finger.
Anyway to easy fix it?
I don't use the player that often only few times a month.

Work-around is to always leave a disc in the tray. It'll open with a disc in it.

That's a bugger, as mentioned if you email Oppo they may send you some new parts to help you repair it.
Best to post all info about the BDP-83 in this long standing thread, as you'll get more people reading about your problem there rather than starting a new thread.
Best of luck.

Download and install the 58-1215 Firmware (http://oppodigital.c...re-58-1215.aspx). Ensure that the BD Loader and MCU firmware install.
Perform a Reset Factory Defaults (Device Setup), Erase BD-Video Data (Device Setup->Persistent Storage) and disable BD-Live (Network Setup).
Disconnect all cables form the player. Bring the player to a surface (such as a table) which will allow the front panel to hang off the surface when the player is placed upside down.
Connect a power cable and press Eject. When the tray ejects, remove the power cable.
Turn the player right-side up.
Reconnect the power cable. Eject the tray several times.
If the tray still fails to eject, then the player will need to be returned for repair. Under this condition please respond with your shipping and contact information so we may have the player returned for repair servicing.

Follow the Oppo's instructions last night, the tray didn't open when placed upside down, but when I turn it back to normal position it's working.
Try open and close a few times this morning and things seem to be OK!
Happy & thanks Oppo!
