A couple of weeks ago my IQ2 lost all its recordings and would not record anything or do live pause. I got onto support and they got me to do a full system reset via the installers menu. This got things going again.

For a while after that the recordings were freezing and jumping ahead, some were almost unwatchable. A few days later any recordings I tried to watch gave me the message "recording interupted please wait" and nothing would play. Did another full system rest and things were back to normal although records were still freezing etc.

Then a couple of days back the picture flickered then went blank and the box proceeded to reset itself 3 times after which everything was back to normal. Since then all recordings have been perfect. The only strange thing is that with nothing recorded free space of 81%. Seem to have lost 19%of disc space somewhere.

If it plays up again will try for a replacement.

Almost sounds like it's done a FW upgrade

Just did another 0611 full system reset and I seem to have my lost disc space back. Have done 1 recording so far and it played back perfectly, fingers crossed it will stay that way.

Finally got around to calling support, technician came around last Friday, said they can't change box on the first visit. He updated the software, did some other checks, said everything appeared ok, call back if problems persist.

Nothing has changed, recordings still freezing and jumping ahead, random restarts and at times unresponsive to the remote. Tech coming back tomorrow, hopefully to repace the box.

Peter, only thing I can suggest to help get your box replaced is to type up a report of the issues you have experienced, include your details-name, address, account No and give it to the tech to return with the box. If the tech still wont replace the box ask for him to call his supervisor and get a second opinion/back-up......

Thanks for the tip, done the list, will see what happens this afternoon.

Update, tech just been, box replaced, very thankful for the problem list.

Last week my IQHD deleted all my series links for no reason. All programmes that had been recorded were untouched. Has anyone else had the same problem? Was it an update that went haywire?
