Anyone else experiencing intermitant glitches with the ABC from Tuggeranong Hill?  It started yesterday with one or two glitches (a small area of video blocking and audio drop-out) every 30 minutes.  It is very similar to a similar problem that occurred late last year and if it is the same issue then we can expect it to get progressively worse.

If you are also experiencing this problem please report it to the ABC fault line ( http://www.abc.net.au/reception/maintenance/ ) on: 1300 13 9994 - they require 3 independent reports before they will act on a problem.

Hi All

Im having an issue with ABC services as well
Last week I lost all the ABC programs. The picture was pixilating & coming up with a lost signal strength
Then again this morning the same thing but only for a couple of hours.
I have 2 PVRS on different ariels & both are doing the same thing.
When pixilating the strength meter in showing about 30% but now that its fine again its back up to 83%!!!!!

Is this likly to be an issue my end or is ABC playing around & messing with my kids heads!!!! Do they even know what kids are like when they miss fireman sam or the octonaughts!!!!!!!

Some advise would be appriciated

Thanks

Sounds more like a problem on your end, but ask the neighbours if they were affected :)

ABC is being a little bit erratic again. :logik:  It's only from Tugg Hill Translator, Telstra Tower is ok.

There was some very bad breakup and drop-outs yesterday afternoon but it seemed OK last night and today. (Tugg Hill)

Hey guys,
Anyone else having issues with ABC in Tugg at the moment. I live in Waniiassa and for the last 2 days have had issues with all digital ABC channels.

Most definitely having issues.  Was getting a glitchy signal from ABC tuggers for the last week or so, but am now getting nothing at all (the DTV signal strength readings on both TVs are jumping around madly, but with a consitant 0% quality reading)

ABC has been getting progressively worse for the last week and now we have nothing. I have someone booked to look at the antenna as it is meant to be pointing to Weston not Tuggers according to Myswitch so I hope he can find a signal from somewhere.

Yesterday we were losing all channels not just ABC. Last night I rebooted the PVR and channels came back and I watched Win until a scheduled recording started on ABC, whereupon Win froze. I stopped the recording and Win was okay again. Weird. I don't think it is my PVR as another STB in the house has the same ABC reception problems.

All fixed. Retuned manually last night and got better signal. Antenna man said we were in a bit of a dip and had quite a weak signal. The PVR and STB are boosting it nicely because even measured at the antenna plug inside, it is quite weak but both machines are reporting strong signals. If it degrades too often I will install a masthead amplifier, we must be just on the edge of the dreaded cliff.
