Hi all,

2 days ago, my 15month old 50VT20a developed coloured horizontal lines across the middle of the screen. I've taken a video of the problem. Does anybody know what the problem might be?

As my tv is out of warranty, pana want me to setup an assessment with AWA at a cost of $145. If the repair cost is likely to be $300+, I'll consider selling the tv off as is and getting something else. I'm really disappointed with my tv and I wont be buying panasonic in the future.

PS: went into the service menu and the panel has only done 2000hrs.

Bugger mate, that doesn't look too good at all... possibly a failed video controller/board?

I've not been able to find much about this problem, apart from a post here by a forum member MLXXX from 1.5 years ago... not sure if that was really the same problem or not, but you could PM him and ask.
