You won't get receivers until there are transmissions.
As for models look at the UK websites for all the manufacturers. All HD receivers can receive DVB-T2/MPEG-4 otherwise they cannot receive any HD programs.

ISDB-T started off in Japan using MPEG-2 compression. Then the Brazilians decided to adopt it with the modification of using MPEG-2. It is has now spread to all of South America except Columbia and French Guiana which are DVB
Some countries in South America use 25 frame/s and others 30 frame/s. They use the same transmission standard which uses the same channel frequencies as ATSC channels which are all 6 MHz wide.
Now ISDB-T international is the Brazilian version which has been adopted by the Phillipines even the Maldrive Islands have adopted ISDB-T international but on 8 MHz wide channels.

That was the issues with regards to broadcasting in Australia, so clear that even the broadcasters themselves talk about them, passing 20,000' over alanh's head.

Singapore will be all DVB-T2 by the end of 2013. Buying a receiver in Singapore will not be feasible unless it has Australia as an installation option.
The Philippines, which is the only country in the Asian region yet to make a decision on their choice for a digital terrestrial transmission system
Sony now manufacturing a single integrated circuit demodulator capable of DVB-T, DVB-T2 and DVB-C2. C2 is a higher capacity modulation system for cable TV.

There's a lesson here: if you bullshit for long enough sooner or later you will end up stepping in it.
Reality check. No one goes to Singapore to buy a TV and then lug it all the way back to Australia. I doubt that many would even consider web purchase and import given the costs involved of transport and customs duty. The only people likely to bring a set in from Singapore would be someone moving from there to here and the general advice given on the forum holds: it might work, but you'll probably end up buying a STB to run it.
