Outputs
TCN Sydney, GTV Melbourne, QTQ Brisbane, NTD Brisbane, NBN NSW North Coast/Northern Tablelands/Gold Coast are all owned by the network.
Imparja is the only affiliate.
Program streams for this network are Nine SD, NBN SD, GEM, GO!, 9extra and a feed to Imparja SD.
WIN network buys a feed from this playout centre for its network which also includes STW Perth and NWS Adelaide
This playout centre is in Sydney

A typographical error (often shortened to typo) is a mistake made in, originally, the manual type-setting (typography) of printed material, or more recently, the typing process (as of spelling)
Associating NTD and Brisbane is not a typo. It's just a mistake.

Your seperation of Imparja and WIN is confusing. So WIN isn't an affiliate, they just buy stuff? I also don't see how there's just this one magical feed that provides everything WIN needs for their network?
The article was fantastic, however.

The WIN and Nine Networks are cover the same number of people per network. The WIN network has more money than the Nine Network. So in the sense that WIN and Imparja are both independently owned and buy programs from the Nine Network. I recall a in the last few years ago there was a dispute regards price and WIN was considering buying the Nine Network.

Does WIN's schedule largely follow NINE's schedule*? Yes.
Does WIN insert advertising/promos on the schedule dictated by NINE's broadcast**? Yes
It's pretty obvious that WIN is indeed an affiliate of NINE considering the application of the term in the broadcasting arena. To argue any differently is quite silly, but fully expected given the situation.
*in areas where WIN carries NINE
**admittedly WIN manages to screw up the precise timing of the insertion

Irrelevant. They're still an affiliate like Imparja.

Again, irrelevant. WIN and Imparja are in the same basket.

Yep, both affiliates. Exactly how you should have worded it in your first post.

True, but still doesn't answer why you feel the need to associate Imparja with Nine more than WIN, based purely on the fact WIN is large, rich and could take Nine over at any time.

WIN buys most of their programs from Nine, therefore Nine affiliate
Imparja previously bought most of their programs from Nine/Ten, therefore previously dual Nine/Ten affiliate. Now Nine affiliate.
If Nine decided to chuck in the towel as far as sourcing programs went, and WIN started sourcing their program lineup and distributing them to Nine; then Nine would become a WIN affiliate.

So the Nine playout centre only has to feed TCN Sydney, GTV Melbourne QTQ Brisbane, NTD Darwin, NBN feeds for Northern NSW/Gold Coast, Imparja and a clean feed to WIN playout centre.
