Hi,
I need to buy a set top box with USB recording facility for my mum in law.
She lives in New Zealand (I'm in Australia).
The ones in NZ are rather expensive, compared to the ones here, so I was thinking of buying her one and let her bring it back to NZ.
But will it work in NZ?

Australia DVB-T uses MPEG2 7MHz bandwidth and NZ uses MPEG4 8MHz bandwidth, so you need to ensure any purchase complies with the NZ DVB-T system for use there.

The specs of the DSE box in your link suggests it will work in both Australia and NZ.

Most of the stb's these days seem to be a 'world' box, they can handle a range of different voltages and just have the right
power plug fitted for the country they are going to. In the set up menu there is usually a list of countries to choose from and
bandwidth options so should be able to tailor it for NZ tv reception. Check before you buy at the shop if you can to see if the
menu has counry options. A lot of tv's have the option of NZ or AUSTRALIA  when you first do an Auto Tune when setting them
up for the first time.

In the manual in the link I posted, it shows a Country Selection menu... it doesn't indicate which countries can be selected, but from the specs, it should do the job for NZ.
