Does the F1 coverage look only OK on one today, or am I used to watching the nascar on fox.

A lot of pixelation of the fences and stuff. Looks good when the cars are standing still!

Apparently yes.
The Announcer today welcomed us to the broadcast and pointed out the Dolby 5.1. Yeah right, I get ONE through 3 different sources, Fox, and two FTA streams, not 5.1 on any of them.

The studio shots looked much better than the track ones, which weren't that great. I think it was 5.0 today.

Yep, it was 5.1 or maybe 5.0 here in Adelaide. My sub came on but there wasn't much in the way of bottom end sound.

I got 5.0 on ONE via Foxtel, 2.0 on ONE Gold Coast and 2.0 on ONE Brisbane.

Why is it different audio tracks in different locations around the country?

A very good question.

Today, ONE on Fox is 5.1, ONE FTA Brisbane is 5.1 but ONE Gold Coast is 2.0.

Lots of complaints on Facebook about synch but it's fine here on Fox.

There should be more complaints about the deplorable cross-promotion interviews & timing of ad-breaks during the race!

Yes, that got a few honourable mentions as well! Not to mention using that moron from the TEN breakfast show, who obviously knew absolutely zero about motor sport of any kind.

Today was the worst example of TV "personalities" taking over a sporting broadcast............friggin morning show hosts had no place there today.

I was hoping for more F1 technical discussions about changes to the cars, rules etc. Instead we got Young Talent Time & Lara Bingle promotions...............what a shambles..

& then to NOT go to ads during the Safety Car, but instead waiting until DRS was enabled pissed me right off.................lol.

basically the whole day a bit of a waste in my opinion. to pass the time till the main event. I agree with the above comments.

the audio was definitely fake dd5.1 and the HD was fake 1080i as well.....

Weren't the ads a disgrace, pretty much 6 laps of racing, 3 laps missed while they showed ads, and the last ad break was only 3 laps after the previous break.  And did they do the smart thing and show a few extra ads during the safety car?  No, they didn't show a single ad!
If only we got Sky Sports F1 here

It seems One is no longer going to show the F1 on HD live :(  From next weekend, it is live on Ten, NOT on One (except the qualifying).    What was all this bollocks about HD and 5.1 sound they were promoting before, don't they understand a LOT of their Aussie fan base watches and enjoys it in HD???

They're clueless anyway. On their monitor during qualifying on Saturday, for the Chinese GP, they showed the TURKISH flag!
