Hi fellas. I was wondering if anyone had some feedback for this device as im lookin to purchase it. Basically i want to replace another Belkin Pure AV surge board in my bedroom with this device. Will this protect my tv, ps3, bluray player & what not i seen some info about the device being used to protect your PC & im curious if this device will be a recommeneded replacement for my old device.

Wasnt sure where to put this, if mods wanna move its ok.

Cheers.

I have this product.

I have my computer and external hard drives connected to it, to protect any damage that may be caused to either from a surge, and also to allow me to save any open documents in the event of a power failure.

Can't really comment on the product, as I haven't had a surge/power failure yet. I do think that the UPS side of it would be going to waste on the components you plan to use it for, although it is very good value at the moment ($59 from Dickies).

Not sure what you mean by "protect" here...I suppose you mean protect from a damaging over-voltage on the mains in which case each device is probably as good as the other. As far as the UPS function, 600Va is not very big. Why do you want a UPS for the TV, PS3, BR and amp? Perhaps on the PS3 for when doing software updates, but you got to be real unlucky for a power failure to happen whilst doing a software update.

I don't think it would have any better protection specs than a PureAV board and may be worse for quality of picture/sound not being a pure sine wave UPS. The only reason I can think to use a UPS is for PVR's so you still get your recordings.
