Greeting,
Been a while since I've hung out at the forum, been a while since I bought any Blu-ray's.

Been thinking about picking up Captain America and Thor, just checked out some prices quickly at JB Hi-Fi and Ezy-dvd, has them listed around the $52-00 mark (for the triple play, no 3D). Whats going on with that, thought prices were coming way down on Blu?
Are they jacking the prices up again, or is it just the two titles that I happened to look at. Thought last time I looked, prices were "almost" on par with DVD....

no your quite right the jacking up been happening for a little while and its at the point of the ridiculous in my opinion. when buying lady and the tramp lately amazingly bigw was easily cheaper !

JB is supposed to be about cheaper prices isnt it ? so whats the point of theyre going ot be so expensive.

in the past new releases theyd do at excellent prices, now they seem to have just given up !

thinking about going amazon us again ! *blink* would never have thought that !

I know they arent the cheapest, just the first site that popped up, but thought $52 was quite outrageous!
$32 at BigW is better, but thought they would be down around the $25 mark by now....

cheers for the replies boys

Amazon UK probably have the best Blu ray range and prices if you have an AU (non-region free) player - even with current shipping charges.  Also applies to DVD but UK does not have same region code as AU for DVD, only same for Blu ray.

I recently bought Red Dwarf - Complete Series boxset (DVD) for about $50. At JB it was around $150.

A lot if not most R4 DVD's in Australia were dual coded R2 so there is rarely if ever a problem with UK DVD's not working here as they are also R4. In fact I can't think of any that aren't dual coded.
