Picked up this box from HN for $52, as my old Digicrystal PVR had died (dodgy capacitors on power supply, tired of fixing it)...

Had it for a week and upgraded to latest software from Strong's site to fix the inaccurate date issue - now...

1) Box intermittently cycles twice when changing channels
2) Sometimes won't show OneHD (even though it indicates the channel is tuned in and at full signal strength)
3) Occasionally locks up at shut down. The only way around this is to pull the power plug and reboot.

BTW - no logical channel numbering on this box.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I know this box is cheap, but really? I thought Strong had a good rep for quality product.

I have had a Strong 5431 for about 6 months. Sometimes it will reboot but it doesn't do it often.  I have had one or two lockups where it freezes and needs to be power cycled.  Mostly it runs fine and I consider it good for the price.  I paid $45 and I don't expect perfection at that price.  My main quibble is the remote is badly laid out and difficult to use without looking at it.
