As far as i have seen the best 65" LCD you can buy in Ozz is the Panasonic DX900U.Most accurate colour and a better backlighting system than the Samsung SUHD.It was released a few months ago with what seemed like a very high price and now goes on the JB website for $3998.The 65" LG B6 OLED was released a couple of weeks ago so lets see how low it can go in a couple of months.A lot lower than $7.5k i can guarntee but how much lower we'll have to wait and see.
There is a reason why TV stations don't switch off the SD version of their primary channel. There are a large number of set top boxes that either cannot receive the FTA HD channels. If the SD versions of the primary channels were to disappear, those viewers would no longer be able to view or record those channels, and would have to use another STB or a digital TV.
Those boxes are from Foxtel. While newer boxes can receive HD, older ones can't. While Foxtel could replace the old boxes with newer ones, that would cost them or their customers money.
If pictures are worth a 1000 words, what is a video worth?
So this is a quick AB between using the auto calibration mic and using REW with the mini DSP mic.
I've still got a heap more "playing" to do yet. I think I may have worked out a way to correct that dip past 8K.
