My experience has been if issues occur they arrange a courier to pick up without hassle. A 'refurb' obviously has a slight degree of risk, but on the flip side it is a lot cheaper.
Yes, it is annoying - doubly so since anyone interested who's actually listened to DRM or other low-bitrate AAC sources knows it's misleading at best.
For the record, the Radio Vaticana broadcast received was ~14.5kbps data rate, ~14kbps audio data rate, AAC+ (i.e. HE-AACv1 mono). Sub-FM quality by a long way. Even if they'd used xHE-AAC, it'd still be mono (since it's below the 16kbps cutoff for PS) with a perceived quality comparable to HE-AACv2 @ ~28kbps.
It seems to be a common problem, try the following:
NETWORK Chip only reboot (settings retained)
1 - With the AVR powered ON, select "Online Music" as the input source.
2 - Simultaneously press/hold the: S710W/S910W/X1200W/X2200W/X3200W - "TUNER PRESET CH + / TUNER PRESET CH -" ; X4200W/6200W - "DIMMER+SETUP" buttons on the front panel
3 - Hold the buttons for a few seconds until the display reads "Network Restart" and then release the buttons.
Should have picked up on that straight away, he shoots a pine tree and Twin Pines shopping mall in the future becomes Lone Pine. Only have the box set on DVD. Was going to watch it yesterday as it was Back To The Future day but was camped out in the RV.
Have had the new sub fired up but still haven't programmed the DSP yet.
