    • I too was very keen on this model. I ended up deciding on the separated route with power amps and a processor. But I have only ever owned top-end Yamaha receivers and been super happy with them all.
    • My brother-in-law is moving overseas for work and is therefore selling items he's not able to take overseas.  Part of this is his home theatre system.  Consists of the following: Panasonic AE-8000 Projector with second spare lamp + four 3D glasses Yamaha RX-A840 AV Receiver (7.2 Channel) 110" cinema screen (16:9 orientation, fixed frame) Yamaha NS-F700 floor stand speakers Yamaha NS-C700 Centre speaker Yamaha NS-SW700 10" subwoofer Panasonic Bluray Recorder All items acquired in Jan 2015 from West Coast Hi Fi.  No side speakers included as these were ceiling speaker built into the home theatre room. All equipment in excellent condition. Will post pics shortly. Happy to demo the setup for anyone local. Asking price AUD$6500 (negotiable) For any questions, please contact Charan directly on cchhabraATgmailDOTcom or on 0411 667 TwoThreeOne thanks Jeelan
    • Gee that is an absolute rippoff! A 3020 is lucky to be worth $1200 these days.
    • Sounds to me like you got yourself the last of the HSV GTS-R or maybe even the W1.  Which colour did you get.  I love the orange colour.  Anyway back to TV's. Cannot wait to hear what you end up with.  When I retire I have thought a lot about a 130 inch Screen Technics retractable screen in front  of a large, say 85 inch flat panel on the wall.  i currently have a 65 inch panasonic VT20 wall mounted. When its time for a movie.  Turn off the TV, lower the screen, turn on my 3 submersives, lower the whatever the PJ is out of the ceiling on a motorised mount and sit back and enjoy the show. That is the plan.  Have to retire first.
