Dear all

1. It has been many days that I have not heard from the person who first raised the issue of copyright as I requested so that I will have a look into his argument and supporting evidence on the matter.

2. Hence, as promised in my post above, I now release my own supporting document. Please visit this website http://www.copyright...e-by-keywords/. In the textbox for "please enter your keywords" please enter "lend" and enter. The first result on the left hand side will be the one you will need to read (lending items protected by copyright). It is a PDF document. Please download or open it to view and make your own judgment on the matter of copyright and lending.

3. If you have not known, this is a primary source where the website explains how the current law applies to the matter of lending and borrowing. I raise this for discussion and hence if you have any comment please do not hesitate to post for discussion.

4. To avoid doubt, this is my understaning of the law and I may be wrong when applying to the factual situation of the thread. So, if you read the document and believe this is an infringement then you may decide not to join the queue. This is completely your own decision.

Surley there is no copyright infringement with lending BD's for private use, as long as there is no copying involved.

I have no problem borrowing a disc from someone, they can take me to court if they like...........

This is a fantastic resource guys, well done.

Would you be able to allow a New Zealand member to join in? I have a good collection of Region A and B BD's and am happy to pay the extra costs to post to Aussie. Of course, you would have to pay more to get BD's to me....

Dunno, run times are 1 178mins, 2 201mins and 3 179mins.

No mention of extended version on cover, hope that helps?
