I think it is very unprofessional to have scheduled maintenance for a website during the day....  :P

No, someone in product management (based in Melbounre)I know. He told me on Friday the pricing but he knows my username on here so I cant say anything. They really are scred that the details won't come out when they want. He did tell me that the website would be up at 10-30 today though (!). I tried calling him to ask about the delay and he hasn't replied.

He also said that PPV movioes WOULD be 25c as  a trial to start, that was hinted at on the blog wasn't it?

The didnt hint it in the blog, just said "thats cheap" or something similar.

However it seems i may have grabbed the other hint they mentioned

Maybe its WA time :P

I'm starting to get really curious about the pricing. I won't be going for it unless they surprise me with really good pricing.

Anyone read the fine print on the PDF?

For planitum where you receive 2 movies per month there is a *

"HD movies only available as part of this offer until 31st December 2008"

Seems having 2 included HD movies on the Plat package wont last long

However as i have multiroom i can get the IQ2 for the same price as the IQ1, i guess this was the great deal people were talking about. The $200 just kills it though

So if we currently have Platinum + 1 standard box + 1 IQ, then whats it going to cost to keep the IQ, swap the standard box for an IQ2 and get the complete HD package??

Id say +$10 per month for an IQ

SO $140pm

Plus the $200 fee to get the IQ2

Or you can pay $299 for the first month which includes instillation of the IQ2 and Plat HD

So much for them looking after existing customers.
From what I can gather, a new install is $299 including the first month so install fee is $299 - $131 = $168, but to upgrade for an existing customer is $200

The $299 deal is there for existing customers.

They will come out and install the box for you, connect up additional satellite cables and so on...

On Fox Sports HD it says:
"FOX SPORTS HD will virtually put you in the game with High Definition broadcasting of selected AFL, NRL, Rugby Union Internationals, Domestic Cricket, the A-League and Socceroos..."
Does this mean they will show only a couple of AFL Games in HD or will they show them all in HD?

A $200 upgrade fee???? WTF???

I already have two iQ's at my place swapping one out for iQ2 will literally take 5mins. It will take longer to activate the bloody card then to do the physical install of the box.

Foxtel you have to be kidding right?? I'm not presently surprised. Heck send me the box and I'll do it myself.

Hmmm, for people like us who are on platinum+IQ already, the increase in ongoing monthly costs might not be too major. But the start up cost seems a little high. I'm on the fence right now - not about to sign up, but will think about it.

Ignoring HD for a second (which obviously takes more storage space to record), how much more storage does the IQ2 have over the IQ? With all the series links, movies, sports  etc.. I could do with a bigger HDD.

Ok its actually $169 to upgrade to HD as I can get the $299 upgrade and free first month. That's still too expensive.

How come it costs the same if your on platinum ($25 more) then if you say are on my sport and another my package and want the full HD experience. Surely you should get something like a $5 discount for being on a higher tier.

IQ1 has 160GB
IQ2 has 320GB
