Picked up an XE1 for $349 today (new in box).
Had a stack of XE1s and EP10s (for $149).
In ringing around today I found quite a few stores with New In Box EP10s for $149.

was even stoked to find Riddick in the box, rather than Miami Vice or Bourne Supremacy.

Don't know what your connection is here D4 but you can pass on to Paul I'm pretty pissed in regards to this, I spent 15 minutes on the phone with them this morning regarding the same thing and got told best price of $599 for XE1, now given I was one of their very first buyers of an XE1 and paid close to full price I think you might see where I'm coming from and needless to say Rio won't see any of my money ever again
Well, I mentioned this to Paul, and he is not sure who you are, however he did say that if you are still after one, looks like a good chance he might get you one for the special price. As far as pricing is concerned Toshiba were being a bit funny with price protection so he says, best thing to do is speak with them and see, unless you already gotten one.
Cheers

Yeah why would he remember the person posting with his permission the good price he could get when units started arriving in the country and the referral I gave his business to members here, not something you're likely to remember is it?
You clearly did not leave much of an impression.
...or maybe he feels guilty over charging you full price.
