Where To Buy Hd-dvd

Just thought it was interesting shopping today. Picked up a 360 add on drive the other day and thought I would see if anyone in the Newcastle area stocked HD-DVD's. Unfortunately nothing. I'm more than happy to buy online, however the masses wouldn't and this may have a significant effect on the next gen format chosen. I did happen to say Bluray discs on sale at EB games, Games wizards, DJ's, myer and Big W.
Does anyone know any stores stocking HD DVDs?

(maybe you can order them in through EzyDVD or Sanity?)
I regularly visit the Central Coast (eg Tuggerah) and the same goes there.
Probably your best bet is online.

Hopefully things will improve in the coming months so that HD DVD gets a fair go.

I hope you're right ... my concern is that Australia retailers are telling us which one will win. I don't really care all that much from a technical degree - but i'll make the decision for me thanks.
Theres no media -anywhere- here in Brisbane. Not a thing.. and even the HD lists' on ezydvd are "coming soon.. pre-order..".
The fact is, i wasn't going to get into this race until the xbox plug-in attached to my htpc. Now, i'm more than willing to update my collection with heaps of hd-dvd's.. but if it's not here, then i'll have to go online. don't want to. much prefer just going to shop.
Until then, i get to watch King Kong over and over again.

The retailers couldn't care a less which format wins..........." Just give me the money ! "
The next few months should see an upturn in interest with the latest shipment of players creating a demand on disc distributors to supply product.
Early adopters always suffer from this initial lack of interest from retailers, it was the same in the early days of DVD.
We are such a tiny market to these big corporations that we just have to wait till the pent up demand is satisfied overseas when we will get the best of it.
It is an advantage to us in having to wait, cheaper prices, advanced and mature technology and a surplus supply of discs (when they come).
Thank heavens for the Internet, at least we know the pro's and con's of it.

Using the expedited option (don't ever use the standard option, you could be waiting months) I will usually receive the order within 5-6 working day.

Just a quick question re hd-dvds purchased from overseas (amazon, for example):
Are there any playback issues - i understand that the discs are region free; but, are there any other things that may differ to an Aus purchased hd-dvd? (Video or audio related)?
