It looked better than last night's rubbish but it definitely wasn't HD

It's got me stuffed why there is so much variation in SD quality from the matches covered by Se7en, especially from the same venues! It's bloody frustrating given how good everything else looks on Fox Footy.

Agree re logo/on screen graphics. Neat and unobtrusive. There's been a bit of comment over on the Big Footy forums...it's nice to see Fox are listening to feedback from the fans...the FTA channels should take a leaf out of their book!

It's hit and miss, like hidefdave said above, some
7 games are ok, others are really bad, none are a patch on the Fox Footy games though

When i truned it on i thought WTF, Fox Footy upscaling there own games! Then i remembered it was a 7 game.

Hawthorn v Crows was probably the best an upscaled se7en match has looked thus far I reckon. Bloody hell, if they keep improving by the game, maybe Anzac Day really will be "as you've never seen it before....live and uninterrupted in stunning HD...the way it should be".

Although we have seen ANZAC Day in HD on ONE before, maybe they mean this is the first time we'll see it upscaled lol

Well.. actually.. you've seen it upscaled before as well when Ch 7 used to alternate the ANZAC games with Ch10 on 7"HD"

And then I suppose technically in 2001-2006 when Ch9 and Ch10 used to simulcast their SD broadcasts on their HD channels

Just rang foxtel to complain about games not being in HD, Choose cancel subscription when going through the intial auto menus and you get through to an Aussie. She said the games are in HD, I explained the whole subject to her... she was a bit bewildered by it all, she placed me on hold for abour 5 minutes and got back to me and stated there was a known issue in SA only and they were working on it (YER right). She then asked what can we do... I said I shouldn't have to pay for HD if I am not getting it. She offered me $100 refund for my IQ2 HD installation straight up (I asked for a monthly discount), I then said I wanted to speak to her supervisor as I am not satisfied with the outcome and to lodge an official complaint I need to speak to her supervisor, she sounded worried and asked why. I was then put on hold again for a few minutes, I was told her supervisor was not available at the moment! She then offered me free HD for a year ($10 off a month) and the $100 install refund as long as I agreed to a 12 month contract. I took up this offer which is better than nothing I suppose.

So for the next 12 months are you only going to watch the Channel 7 games on Fox Footy HD and no other HD programming on any other channel? Just a tad nitpicky complaining about 4 games of footy a week that aren't in HD considering all the other HD programming on offer across the channels.

Maybe so although I got Foxtel HD to watch 9 live games of AFL in brilliant HD which I can't do. It's false advertising plain and simple. If people aren't happy and no one complains they don't think there is a problem.

I'm not losing that much sleep over it, the GWS vs Syd game in rd 1 was deplorable but since then pq has improved. I flicked it over to 7 on the weekend to compare the quality and it's miles better on Fox.

That's not what everyone's saying. People still think it looks poor. & Foxtel are still lying in their advertising.

PS - I am not sticking up for Foxtel, I dislike these upscaled SD games as well - but hey, most Bombers games are on Ch 7 this year so its bad luck for me... I am happy I get to watch every game Live and Commercial Free
