Queenstown/Zeehan Digital
The ACMA claims that;
SBS channel 46 1.5 kWerp
ABT channel 47 1.5 kWerp
are on air and not in test mode.
This site at Mt Owen is unusual in that it contains a pair of antennas. One is vertically polarised and the other is horizontally polarised. One is pointed at Queenstown and the other to Zeehan.

Thanks AlanH, very strange set up there, on the ACMA list it has a 'D' for the polarisasation, what does this mean?

Just a few quick question's, we have a MATV installation in Wynyard receiving AuStar and analogue transmission from Table Cape. We are about to install new HDTV's in all rooms and know we can receive ABC and SBS digital from Table cape and via another aerial can receive TDT and SCTV by pointing towards Mt Barrow I assume.
Does anyone know of anyone in the area who is familiar with MATV installations and could assist in getting digital TV here ?
Can we use 2 aerials to receive digital signals one from Table Cape for ABC and SBS and another pointing to Mt Barrow to get the remaining signals ?
Any information / help appreciated.
Justin
Hi nzpjm,
Yes ABC and SBS are available but getting the commercial channels from Mt Barrow... Others more local will know but it will depend on where you are located (ie. behind lots of houses or a hill)
Not sure if the new TV's have analog tuners in them though, if you can't get signal from Mt Barrow you will have to rely on analog. Probably best to get a local antenna installer in to take a look.
