The recent "movie", if you can call it that, starring Heath Ledger, was an absolute disaster IMHO, an opinion shared by many Kelly "historians".
This mini-series, produced with the the involvement of perhaps the most knowlegeable Kelly expert still alive, Ian Jones, runs for 379 minutes, so most of the "story" of Ned Kelly can be told.
I guess the DVDs a bit grainy at times, but overall it's pretty good...after a while, I became so engrossed in the story, I didn't notice it!
