Voyager!!!!!!!!  I refuse to believe this series ever happened.  The ship was lost with all hands during episode 1.  The end.

I think you have mistaken it with DS9 mate, Voyager had some of the best writing Star Trek's seen, Deep Sh!t 9 was atrocious

I know I'm gonna get flamed now, extinguisher ready - fireproof suit ready - Klingon bird of prey cloaked - holographic doctor and seven of 9 on medical standby :P

I am lost for words.  If the Bastards hadn't disbanded, I'd quit in protest.

The defiant would have turned the Voyager into a steaming pile of slag.

Unfortunately that's the only thing it had going for it.

Deep Space 9 was heaps better :P

Just could never get into ds9, whereas always thought the premise of Voyager was good, my only problem with Voyager at times was Janeway unlike Picard (hatedf him at first) with next G she never really grew with the series, in fact I thought the surrounding cast in Voyager outgrew her considerably.

DS9 came into it's own in season 3 and then went from strength to strength.  By the end of season 7 it was easily the best scifi show made period.  Evenn now it rates as nly second to farscape for me with SG-1 a very close third.

Voyager was probably the same, took 3 seasons to really get going and some of the late s3 and early s4 episodes was some great writing and Tv, I'll punch SG 1 as my number one here, I have not seen seasons 5 6 and 7 as yet however I do know they get back

See I tried so hard to like voyager.  Season after season until not long after the start of season 7 I just gave up.  Now consider I had the entire TNG and DS9 on video tape (2 eps a tape at $20 each) and up to then had ben buying every voyager in the hope it would get better, so it's not something I lightly say.  Just didn't work for me.

But everyone is different so if you like it, good for you, I think you are strange, but thats nothing new.

Am I the only one finding season 4 of Atlantis really boring.  Even gave up watching halfway through ep 4 it was so boring!

It's alright Mo keep in mind I think the following are sh!t - Blade Runner (any version) - 2001 - Pulp Fiction - so it really is individualistic, as someone who got bought up with Sci fi (circa late 60's and 70's) it maybe that Voyager was so very different that it appealed to me.

I think Patrick Stewart is the best Captain I've ever seen on a Star Trek and I started off hating him and still think Jonathon Frakes is the worst 2ic I've seen, in fact most of the cast of Next Gen had the warmth of a Cornetto yet I love all next gen movies especially Nemesis (dts).

Thus we will not add you to our collective due to your inferior taste :P

PS: Kazz is a trekkie too

Ok, lets get everyone out of the trek closet.

Besides, your borg threat would have been useless.  By the time Voyager was done with them they were about as menacing as a wet blanket.

I think you are missing a series of trek in there Kazz :P

You almost had me convinced you were a sci-fi fanatic, but no Farscape?  And the unforgivable - No Battlestar Galactica (which I need to return to my favourites list again cause I had a brain freeze - it is the best ever!!!!)

I actually made a conscious decision not to buy past season 1 of atlantis as a blu-ray release is rumored and now MGM is releasing again.  Heres hoping the two new SG-1 movies go straight to blu-ray.

Never really liked Farscape although was thinking I might give it another try, it may have had alot to do with channel 9 and their crappy scheduling, kept missing eps.

And I really don't like BSG and that has nothing to do with scheduling.

Cheers,

Karen
