Happy HD'ing
Edit: This initial report was incorrect. Bridge to Terabithia has been tested on Region "B" PS3's and has worked.

Chris
Black Hawk Down from Amazon is definitely region free, it is marked region A on the back, it was one of my first amazon orders.
Don't feel worried about trusting this thread for accuracy, it is put together from alot of sources I have been using for a few months now.
This blu-ray stuff is my first venture into ordering overseas and I have to admit I pressed the order button the first time with some trepidation.
But 20 discs from amazon later and all of them have worked without a hitch.

i was surprised that Liongate would have locked the original Basic Instinct maybe because of o/s licencing? (ie it is distributed by Universal in other territories?)
must say this would be one of the most valued threads at the DTV Forum..
(a friend over in the states gladly took the copy off my hands)

This is very interesting and exciting news as this film is still in theatrical run in many place around the World (including Australia).
Does this indicate a new stance on region coding from Disney or is this the result of pressure to not lose ground to the recently announced region free HD DVD version of this film in spain? I'm hoping for the former.

I'm sure there will be a region free Blu-Ray player (Hell even the Sony runs Linux)
Just my 2 cents for today

Ah I see, so it doesn't matter if "crap*" BD "exclusives" are released on HD DVD, as long as it doesn't happen with any "good" movies, right ?
Andrew.
*I don't know if the movie is crap, it actually looked quite interesting when I saw the trailer at the movies.

To pre-empt this was the reason Regional coding was introduced originally.
