and that is the choice you have, for example I am sticking with 5.1 (maybe 5.2 one day) because imho 7.1 front height width and every other convolution speakers is just throwing money away but ymmv..........


Heights and wides if your speakers don't image very well perhaps (not mine! :P ) but I can highly recommend surround backs if your room is 'long' enough.......

I'm impressed.......

So here in Aus that means we'll never see that kind of commitment to broadcast at that resolution :fear:

Correction:

The Government will mandate it's use as a condition of owning a licience to transmit, giving everyone the impression it will be worth buying the technology, but once more than 50% of Australians have invested in it they will no longer require mandatory transmissions @4320 :angry2:

Whoa! That's another reason why 3D isn't needed..............look at how life-like & 3D the images are on that 2D display........ :shocked:

in the near future you will just stream what you want at the bandwidth you can afford, which a lot of
people do already.
Public free to air broadcasting like print media will get less and less market share.
Where were all these personal streaming devices 10 years ago,
this decade will see a quantum shift in the way we consume media.
