Well it was only a matter of time :P

User can pick any unlimited motion previews just only by a mouse slipping

 :P damm slippery mice And it has PAP support <wow>

How inexpensive ?

Do the BDA drivers allow fixed bandwidth operation for OSes other than MCE2005 ?

The 2 video card 4 channel stuff thru me until I realised they where talking about 2 Tuner cards not SLI. Not quite sure what they are claiming ??? multiple DVB-T channels off the same multiplex or just simultaneous DVB-T plus analog input...

$99.00 on ebay ( Ebay number ) 5233944262
The BDA drivers work on all third party software I have tried.
The drivers are suppose to handle more than one card. I have not tried that yet but I will.
So 2 x cards can give you 4 channels ( 2 from the same multiplex )

Let me know when you do, as I can't get the one application to use two cards at the same time

Would this be a worthy replacement for my AverMedia (761 or 771 can't remember!) piece of garbage???

...Please say 'yes', because I've already ordered one!

Renura
Will do.
By the way I can't say I like 4.0.108.3. It accepted 2 cards but it would only access 1 in XPMCE. Not sure why, I'll get back to it again one day.

Trufflehunter
I don't know what a 761 or 771 is like but the DTV1000 works dam well. Better than the VStream ( and I like VStreams ).
The viewing software is not exactly HTPC based ( like others ) but can be used like that. It is nicely set out and works without any issue. Typical of Leadtek in fact.
I think you will be pleased with it's performance. Not sure what you'll think of the software - Let us know.

Cheers

From one of the screen shots, it looks like it has a Thomson 7579 tuner, and given the presence of the antenna pass-through, great software bundle, BDA drivers and price, it looks like a DViCO Lite and TwinHan killer to me, at least for WebScheduler use.

If I am not mistaken, this device (hardware) has been around for a while, under various names (including V-Stream). Google for LR 6650 and you will find plenty of user experiences with it :P

Take a closed look on "WinFast DTV1000 T" here:
http://www.leadtek.c..._dvt1000t_2.jpg

The previous LR6650 PCB Revision:A is the sama as Conexant Stratford2 design, even the SSID.
But this LR6650 (PCB Revision:A) board has no remote control jack on it.
Some LR6650 OEM (PCB Revision:A) board even has no Composite jack and S-Video jack.

The "WinFast DTV1000 T" uses the PCB Revision:C.
It is based on the Conexant Stratford2 design:
;---------------------------------------
; Stratford2 - DVB-T using CX22702 OFDM demod with Thomson Tuner and IR remote
;---------------------------------------
%CX23880.videoThomsonDVBT%=CX23880.ThomsonDVBT,PCI\VEN_14F1&DEV_8800&SUBSYS_018714F1

But the IR is changed to Leadtek IR, the Composite is not shared with the Y pin of S-Video(UseCompositeOnSVideo=FALSE), the EEPROM is write-protected and the SSID is changed to Leadtek's SUBSYS_665F107D

There are many boards based on Conexant Stratford2 :
Leadtek LR6650
Leadtek WinFast DTV1000 T
K-World DVB-T 100 (Previous name is V-Stream DVB-T PCI)
Hauppauge Nova-T PCI 90002
...

You can add the Provideo PV913 to that list.

Have you tried it with Media Portal?

It should work with MediaPortal. I've tried it with ShowShifter, GBPVR, My Theatre, Power Cinema 4, DVD Movie Factory, XPMCE2005.
Last time I checked Media Portal it didn't "auto scan channels" you had to manually put the details in. Not my idea of fun. I'm a bit lazy

Good to hear it's compatible with so many apps.
Did the remote that came with it also work with all those apps?

Sorry, I can't answer that question.
My OEM Sample didn't come with a Remote.

However, since the DTV1000 is the same as my PV913 ( except for the Svideo and Composite inputs ) and the remote looks the same I can confirm that the PV913 remote worked with Showshifter and Cyberlink products. If I could find the remote sensor I'd try the others - not sure where it's gone.

The "WinFast DTV1000 T" uses the PCB Revision:C.
It is based on the Conexant Stratford2 design:
;---------------------------------------
; Stratford2 - DVB-T using CX22702 OFDM demod with Thomson Tuner and IR remote
;---------------------------------------
%CX23880.videoThomsonDVBT%=CX23880.ThomsonDVBT,PCI\VEN_14F1&DEV_8800&SUBSYS_018714F1

hmm, do you know what the difference is between this card and the Thompson based V-Stream (also on PCB revision C) that came out over 12 months ago?

Also what is the current PCB revision? I thought revision E was also out a very long time ago?

What is the difference between revison C and the latest PCB revision?

The K-World V-Stream DVB-T PCI board:
- Base on Conexant Stratford2 design
- K-World's SSID
- K-World's PCB Revision; different between Conexant, Leadtek and Hauppauge boards.

The Conexant's IR driver is HID Remote Interface.
(The Provideo PV913 uses the Conexant's IR design and HID driver)
The Leadtek's IR design is not the same as Conexant's IR;
The "Remote Control Power Up from S3/S4/S5" function is added.
The HID Remote Driver is not provided by Leadtek so far.

Given the price, are there any compelling arguments against buying one? e.g. buggy BDA drivers?

I have tried this card out and found some good points and some problems.

It installed fine on my XP sp2 system(8PENXP MB running a FX5700 graphics card). I use the nVidia purevidio decoder. It changes channels significantly faster than my Dvico FusionHDTV and Compro T300. Picture quality is excellent and it seems to have more sensitive reception than those other 2 cards (I run the card from a dog ear antenna sitting on a filing cabinet). The dual channel capability allows viewing a channel and subchannel or a TV channel and video recording using PIP. The reception software crashed twice while channel surfing with timeshifting activated.

Could not install using the Leadtek installation CD on my MCE 2005 HTPC (K8nf-9 MB & NX66T128VP graphics card). Kept getting an error message "GFX Outrider Setup: not supported code 560646316".The only work around I found was as follows:
1. Install the DTV1000T card.
2. Use the hardware wizard to install drivers directly from the CD v4.8 (Dont use the Leadtek installation software)
3. Install Dvico FusionHDTV tuner card
4. Start MCE and use the FusionHDTV card to scan for services - the DTV1000T does not find any services.

On MCE 2005 I have found that the DVT1000T changes channels much faster and more reliably than the Dvico Fision HDTV and the Compro T300, however
- The DTV1000T will only run inside MCE as the reception software won't install because of the GFX Outrider Setup porblem.
- Can't find any drivers on th Leadtek website
- The DTV1000T cannot be used to scan for services in MCE.
- DTV1000T will not play some services (SBS in perth).

If I could get it to install and work correctly on my HTPC, I'd ditch the FusionHDTV and Compro T300 because of the superior channel changing of the DTV1000T.

edit- I'm currently in correspondence with Leadtek in Taiwan. They've been very responsive and seem to think its a hardware conflict. I tried updating bios and a few other suggested changes including installing onto a clean MCE install, but with no success. Its strange that I cant find any mention of the card on the web.

The CD you got is CD-R or CD-ROM ?

The DTV1000 WHQL driver is in the CD-ROM, not CD-R.

CD-R : Non-WHQL driver, WinFast DTV build 20132 (2.0.1.32)
CD-ROM : WHQL driver, WinFast DTV build 20134 (2.0.1.34)

You can download the DTV1000 WHQL driver here:
http://myweb.hinet.n...04.20050628.zip

You also can download the latest WinFast DTV build 20136 (2.0.1.36) here:

For the MCE2005 issues:

The WinFast DTV (WFWIZ.EXE) will kill the "ehRecvr.exe".
It is not right.

The better solution is:
- Run "net stop ehrecvr"
- Run WinFast DTV
- Run "net start ehrecvr"

You get what you pay for.
If you want something that is proven and that lot's of users have and there's good support for then buy a Dvico product.
If you want to be sure a product works with certain software or your hardware and you want to opportunity to return it if it doesn't, then buy something from Renura.

BDA Drivers :- It depends how BDA you want the BDA drivers to be.
4.0.107.3204 works with all apps I mentioned above except MyTheatre. I had to use WHQL 107 for it to work.
The only thing I couldn't get to work was scanchannelsbda and that included drivers up to 4.0.108.3.
Of course, this could be my installation, with so many driver changes who knows what can happen.

I'd wait to see how other go with this card before buying.

Cheers

@TW1965,
Just out of curiousity, could you tell us what your relationship with Leadtek and this product is?

Also since you know a lot about this and similar products, could you tell us if the drivers for this particular product are fully BDA compliant, and in particular if they support multiple cards in the same PC?
