* In 2016, there will only be one Friday night game, with a Thursday night game added.

* In 2017, Monday night football will be scrapped, with a game to begin at 6pm on Friday evenings. * All matches will be shown live. Nine will have Thursday night, Friday night and Sunday afternoon football, with all games to be simulcast on Fox Sports.
* From 2017, Fox Sports will have a dedicated rugby league channel, similar to its current AFL station, Fox Footy.

all games to be simulcast on Fox Sports.

This is a good thing, not only for HD picture quality (if you are subscribed to that package) and reduced advertising but also for regional viewers with the uncertainty of the WIN and 9 affiliation and carriage of the new 9HD channel.

This is a great win for NRL fans. Having every match available live in HD is the minimum you would expect in any new rights deal for one of the country's premier codes.

It's a pity SOO isn't part of the deal, but it's understandable why nine would want to hang on to them exclusively. At least we'll get them in HD*!

*Hopefully also for those of us living outside of a capital city!  :hmm:

This is a great win for NRL fans.

Not for those who don't have pay TV. 9 had purchased 4 games a week, but thanks to overpriced Foxtel not accepting a reduction in the number of exclusive games, 9 is back to only having 3 games a week. Still worse coverage than gAyFL.
