I have put this question in another forum, but this question might be better answered here due to enthusiasts.

We have through the purchase of our house been left a large set of Star Trek Videos... in fact there is a video collection of over 1300 videos in total. For conversation we thought we might leave the majority of the VHS videos for when people come over an watch a video... or 10!

My wife has asked me to investigate the value of selling a set of Star Trek "The Next Generation" Videos (complete set) of 89 Videos, all in consecutive numbers and in very good condition. There are also a complete collection of 40 videos "Collector’s Edition The Original Television Series". Additionally, there are a few of other Star Trek videos also.

Can anyone offer any general advice what these might be worth on ebay? Money will be going towards a new projector:)

$1 each if your lucky.

Probably not even that ... I kept 5 of my favorites, for posterity, and gave the rest of my collection to the salvos.

Might be why you have inherited it.

You'll have to pay to take them to landfill, unless you can offload them some where for free eg opportunity shop.

Agree with the previous 2 posters.  You will be lucky to get any money for this collection of videos.

I've seen grown men crawl over broken glass to get at a bargain.

Even if they don't really want it. "It's a BARGAIN!!!"

You know how hard it is to get a reasonable VCR to play VHS tapes nowadays? And it's not like you're talking going retro and use film cameras instead of digital where it's arguable the older analogue technology can be higher quality.

Could be a good prop for a period piece tho. But someone's bound to collect 'em!

Thanks Guys, unless someone offers me a carton of beer I will keep them as a physical reminder of how something can be worth nothing!

I appreciate the responses and if all goes to pot I can put on my Tu Tu and give them as Easter Presents (joke).
