Even though this sounds like a broken record (I've
asked myself the same questions, and answered them in
countless emails!) they are still being worked on - well,
at the very least The Wall Live and also the ATD 5.1 mix.
Hopefully not TOO much longer...it is starting to feel a
little silly that they are taking so long!
As for the DSOTM tour footage, I thought he'd dropped that
but seemingly it might be resurrecting soon. Of course,
he is also working on solo material. One wonders if he
should just try and concentrate on one thing at a time!!

also the ATD 5.1 mix.
Still not finished yet? how long do they have before the final cut (to meet the proposed 23 Sept release date)?
Incidentally last week I went to another fellow member's place to have a play with his 2 channel setup. One of the many tracks I played is Time from DSOTM.. Man does that track sound good with this Tannoys (just put into a ported marine ply box).. The surround sound effect is pretty good with heaps of heights (esp in the opening)... Never heard Tannoys sound like that before, totally changed my mind on 'em .. Something to look forward to with this release.
Done right 2 speakers is really more than enough.. I'd be happy as long as they don't murder the stereo layer...

VHS conversion to DVD can still looks reasonable with the correct equipment. I used to convert friend's wedding video or Santana concerts about 9 years ago using canopus advc110 which now retail for around $200 and it does a beautiful job in digitising the analogue video to AVI ensure both video/audio are in sync then using software like dvd-lab pro and movie studio to convert the AVI into DVD format. But the rendering time was about 2 to 3 hours with the old Pentium 4 computer. Hardware rendering can be done with canopus hardware but the result were often softer PQ ..
